# Delete metadata form
Please note
A metadata form can only be deleted if no entries in ELO are using the metadata form.
If there are entries using the metadata form in ELO and they have been marked for deletion, the entries have to be deleted permanently first before the metadata form can be deleted.
Method
Open the package containing the metadata form.
Select the metadata form that you want to delete.
The Form dialog box opens.
Select Delete metadata form (recycle bin icon).
A prompt dialog box opens.
Confirm with Delete.
Result
The metadata form is deleted if possible.
