# ELO server

The following provides you with more information about the system requirements for the ELO Server Setup and ELO server.

# ELO Server Setup

Running the ELO Server Setup requires a current browser. ELO supports the following browsers:

  • Mozilla Firefox – The most current officially available version
  • Google Chrome – The most current officially available version
  • Microsoft Edge – The most current officially available version

Please note

Connection of the ELO Server Setup and the ELO Indexserver to the ELO license servers (https://license.services.elo.cloud and https://license.elo.com) must be ensured. The firewall must allow TCP port 443 (HTTPS).

Please note

As the number of known CVEs increases significantly with the age of the server version, the use of current server versions is recommended for security reasons and for optimum server provider support.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2022
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2025

Please note

ELO BLP 5.2 requires Windows Server 2019 upgraded to version 1903 or higher. Otherwise, communication with TLS 1.3 will not work.

# Databases

Please note

Your database versions must be supported by the respective vendors and must not contain any known security vulnerabilities.

As the number of known CVEs increases significantly with the age of the database version, the use of current database versions is recommended for security reasons and for optimum database provider support.

Information

After installation, the Elasticsearch program library used for ELO iSearch requires sufficient memory to reindex the documents for the full text search.

The following components are supplied by the ELO Server Setup:

  • Java: OpenJDK 21.0.7 (64-bit)
  • ELO Application Server: a modified Apache Tomcat 10.1.41 (64-bit).
